Prestigious Appointment

Congrats again to our very own Michelle O Neill as she has been appointed to the Olympic Quarter Final match between Canada and Brazil on Friday 30th at 9am.

A credit to our branch and the ISRS and she is a great ambassador for football in Ireland.

2020 – 2021 Season Cancelled

The Wexford Football League have announced that the 2020/2021 season has been cancelled. It is hoped to be able to kick off the 21/22 season in September when hopefully it will be safe to get back on the football fields again.

Speedy Recovery

We would like to extend our best wishes to Sean Grant and to wish him a speedy recovery following a recent accident, and we look forward to seeing Sean out on the playing fields again in 2021. From all your colleagues in the branch, get well soon Sean.

Fran Kenny RIP

We regret to inform you of the death of Fran Kenny, Father of our friend and colleague Sean. Fran was interred in Enniscorthy Graveyard on Saturday 5th Dec following requiem mass. We at the Wexford branch of the ISRS send our sincerest condolences to Sean and Family. May he Rest In Peace.

FAI Cup Final Appointment

Congratulations to or colleague Sean Grant who has been appointed 4th official in next Sundays FAI Senior Cup Final between Shamrock Rovers and Dundalk. Best of luck to Sean and the rest of the team from all your colleagues at the Wexford Branch of the ISRS

Maureen Wallace RIP

The death has taken place of Maureen Wallace, Wellingtonbridge in her 97th year. Mother of Mick Wallace MEP and founder of Wexford FC. Joseph Wallace, Wexford FC Chairman and Willie Wallace former Wexford Schoolboy committee member, and all 3 former players and committee members with Corach Ramblers FC. Maureen is survived by her daughters BrĂ­d, Chrissie, Eileen, Kay, Monica and Maids, and by her sons Paddy, Willie, Joseph, Mike and Phil.

Due to government advice regarding public gatherings a private family funeral for Maureen will take place on Tuesday 27th October at 11am in the church of Mary Immaculate and St Joseph Carrig on Bannow, followed by burial in Ballylannon cemetery.

We at the Wexford Branch of the ISRS extend our deepest sympathies to the Wallace family.

Kevin Murphy RIP

We regret to inform you of the death of Kevin Murphy, father of our esteemed colleague Kevin. Due to the current guidelines, a private family funeral will take place on Monday (October 26th) at 12 noon in St. Columba’s Church, Ballyduff. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

We extend our deepest sympathies to Kevin and his family.
